All year, sky permittingA 620mm telescope, a seven-metre planetarium and what is billed as the largest pair of binoculars in the world, twelve minutes away. They run dinner-and-observation evenings as well as residential courses, so you can go for one night rather than book a week. This is the organisation behind the Fleurance festival, and the sky out here is properly dark. Ring ahead — the evening programme is not published far in advance.
