Abbatiale Notre-Dame, Simorre (church)

The abbey church at Simorre is a fortified church — 'église fortifiée' is the state notice's own opening word on it, and the fortification is the reason to detour. The same notice records it as probably built where a Romanesque building stood, still keeping the relics of Saint Cérase, and it is a listed historic monument.
